| So...this is about a week late but I just have to write about an amazing camping trip I went on last weekend. I met some great friends in mid-Ohio to camp for the weekend. Yeah, B, K, B, & J! We had a blast. It was much, much needed! The fellowship we all had together was great. Sitting around the campfire laughing, sharing struggles, etc., learning more about each other , making great food, encouraging each other...the list goes on. The weekend flew by so very quickly but the memories will last a lifetime. Anyone want to share a favorite memory from the weekend? Leaving in the morning for N.C...drug test, new hire orientation, appointment and hopefully success in finding an apartment. Those are the things my next few days will be filled with. Please be praying for wisdom about the finding apartment issue. Feeling a bit overwhelmed with that part of it. Thankfully my mom is going with me! Ready or not....here I come! | | |
| so....I ran across this quote today and thought it was perfect for me. What do you think? "...and the quickest way to spoil a friendship is to wake somebody up in the morning before he is ready." ~oldest sheep in Charlotte's Web It just makes me SMILE!!!! | | |
| This past week I rediscovered a forgotten love of mine....an american cheese and dill pickle sandwich! I used to take that combination many days my senior year of high school. Such a good sandwich!!! Just a warning...if you want to try this....don't put the pickle on the sandwich until you are ready to eat it otherwise...the bread gets soggy. But, if you want an automatic lift to your day...give this sandwich a try. I went to the much anticipated Casting Crowns concert on Thursday night (I have been looking forward to it since December). Wow,....what an encouragement!! I just love Casting Crowns....my favorite group! I have never been to any other concert where they spend about 20 minutes praying for those out in the crowd. Their new cd is just great! Such great lyrics! That was defnitely one highlight of my week. My attitude was up and down this week....on the outside I basically looked fine but inside was struggling. Satan knows how to get my attitude doubting....but, thankfully through God's word and uplifting music and prayer...my attitude has been getting better (I hope) Oh.....random.....I was chosen (along with another lady) as the church sweetheart for this year. Quite a surprise I must say!!!! | | |
| Substitute teaching has its ups and downs....today was definitely a down day! Had a rough afternoon....came home very frustrated and discouraged! Let's just leave it at.....I really just want my OWN classroom again! | | |
| Yes, that is an interesting title but that's how I feel every day when I go to school. I walk in the door at school and I instantly become Mrs. Morrison. It doesn't bother me at all, in fact, it makes me laugh. The kids at school just assume that I am married.....and so I must be a Mrs. It's fun! Children are such a blessing! You just never quite know what they are going to say....it's great! I am soooooo looking forward to that day that I have my OWN classroom again and am not JUST the sub. Ha ha! Other things on my mind tonight.....there are many movies that truly inspire me. There are parts of them that make me think and contemplate life. Tonight I watched another one of those movies...another favorite of mine (nope....not Pride and Prejudice). But.....I was thinking....I really want to impact people and their lives! I LOVE people.....love working with others...investing in lives....serving....showing I care....challenging them...etc. I just pray that I allow God to use me and not try to do things on my own. I don't want to "get in the way" of what God can do by trying to do things on my own. (I'm not sure if that makes sense to others but that's the best I can communicate it tonight...) Oh yeah....I also got a "new desk" a few weeks ago (from a garage sale)...I just love it! Adds such character to my room....plus, it gave me more room to display picture frames and my many, many pictures I have around. Figured it was about time for an up-date....and there you have it! Have a wonderful day/night! | | |
